In Iran, the denial of education is a reality that many young people are being forced to accept as they are systematically being denied access to universities and institutions of higher learning.

The recent inspiring uprisings in the Middle East call on us to examine the prospects of popular protest in Iran and the conditions necessary for its emergence and development in the society.
